Lindsay + Brett Part 2

The unique and wonderful details were the signature of Lindsay and Brett’s wedding celebration.  They kept things simple by having all of the wedding events in the same venue, but were careful to add in lots of personal touches to differentiate the ceremony from the reception.  Lindsay created a DIY ribbon chandelier backdrop that we installed the day of her wedding.  We also created rustic aisle decor with wired twine, mason jars, and coordinating flowers.  These were moved to cocktail tables after the ceremony as additional decor.  The Berg Event Space was a perfect ceremony and reception venue for Lindsay and Brett.  The rustic wood beams contrasted with the contemporary design created a perfect backdrop for a stunning occasion.

One of the most jaw-dropping moments of the ceremony was when the processional began to the sounds of “The Winner Is” by Devotchka from the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack.  We worked with Lindsay and the bridesmaids so that the timing of each entrance was with the dramatic build of the song.  Just as the song culminated, Lindsay stepped out onto the aisle.  It was a truly breath-taking moment with the sun streaming in through the huge picture windows and emotions running high for everyone… including me!

So many talented vendors worked together to make this such a memorable and personalized occasion.  The bride, Lindsay did much of the event design, including the wooden wedding sign, colorful chalkboards, and polka dot streamers among many other details.  We at Hitched Weddings did the floral, additional event design, and coordination.  The delicious and amazingly displayed food was provided by Mary Berg at delish! Catering.  The cake which was one of the most colorful, unique designs we have laid eyes on and inspired a truly beautiful dessert bar was created by Andrea at Classic Cakes.  Finally, our hats go off to the amazingly talented Kelly Jackson of Kelly Jackson Photography captured the look and feel of the celebration perfectly, and gave us some of the most beautiful floral and decor pictures to date.
