Not only is Amanda and Sergio an amazing and sincere couple but also friends of Jessica’s for quite some time. Jessica and I had so much fun planning and designing Amanda and Sergio’s wedding for they gave us full reins since they both currently live in New York. Johnny Quiroz who was also a friend of theirs was able to come and capture all the moments for the day at the venue space Terrace on Grand.
When we first sat down with Amanda she simply stated that she wanted a color palette of blues and oranges with a fun and quirky side. From there we incorporated Amanda’s favorite flower gerbera daisies and among those also added tulips, blue thistle, roses, nigella and cornflower to her bouquet.
Each bridesmaid had a different cobalt blue dress which added uniqueness to the bridal party.
The bridesmaid bouquets included pincushion protea, roses, tulips, gerbera daisies and a collar of galax leaves.
For ceremony decor we used simple cylinders filled with agapanthus and eremurus as well as cobalt blue lanterns and rose petals.
For the flower girl we used a matching blue pail and for the ring barrier I made an orange and blue pillow with a coordinating vintage button to hold the ribbon and rings in place.
After the ceremony concluded guests joined Amanda and Sergio on the rooftop for cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and live music.
Avenues Bistro did an amazing job catering for the evening with numerous types of hors d’oeuvres and service.
The centerpieces for the evening included rounds with blue sea glass, reindeer moss, gerbera daisies, tulips and agapanthus.
Another detail that we couldn’t forget was that Amanda adored strawberries so we topped each blue and orange sprinkled cupcake with one.
The weather turned out perfect that night (was down pouring the whole morning) and everyone was overjoyed to be able to enjoy the evening on the rooftop which also served as a great backdrop for some last shots of the evening.
