After Kalinda and Nate’s Ceremony at Club 1000, friends, family and guests ventured downstairs to find a colorful reception with great food from our friends Olive Events. Keeping with the same color palette as the ceremony, we lined each table with vibrant flowers and interchanged black ceramic box vases and clear cylinder vases filled with black river rocks. We also made coordinating damask table squares to help tie all the centerpieces together.
Each place setting also had a single green apple with the words “All you Need is Love” pinned to the top as a thoughtful gift for each guest from the bride and groom .
I’m pretty sure this guys had the record for eating the most apples!
In liu of a traditional head table the bride and groom decided to have 1 large round so the bridal party would be able to all see each other and no one would be excluded down on the end of a table.
This was a shot that Chelsea took of a chandelier we hung above the head table’s centerpiece.
When it came to the cake Kalinda and Nate had not 1 option but 3! They supplied their guests with easy to eat cupcakes, a mini cake that they could cut into for traditional and sentimental value and a groom’s cake for the chocolate lovers.
We decorated the mini cake with cymbidium orchids and freesia and bordered each layer with handmade ribbon from the damask fabric we purchased for the table squares.
When it came to dancing this group sure knew how to have fun…including the groom!
This shot, which still makes me laugh every time I see it, is the bride and her dad!
Another perk of having a reception at a space downtown like Club 1000 is the views. The bride and groom where able to take pictures on the roof top and they turned out wonderful!
Congrats again Kalinda and Nate, we had a blast planning your wedding from start to finish and enjoyed every minute of it!
