Liz and Spence choose to get married at the beautiful Country Club Congregational Church in Brookside earlier this spring. The design and coordination elements of their wedding was a blast and Jessica and I had an amazing time from start to finish! We loved working with all of the wonderful vendors including Claire from Claire Ryser Visionaire Studios who captured the day perfectly.
The color palette of Liz and Spence’s wedding included earthy tones of greens and greys with touches of white, navy and black. To achieve that at the church we made moss covered letters for the front doors and flowy pew decor for the isles as well as a large altar piece up front to match.
Liz’s bouquet was an array of spray, sweetheart and standard roses and was wrapped in lace left over from her custom made dress. Janay from Janay A Handmade did an amazing job recreating Liz’s dress into a beautiful masterpiece and that fit her to a T!
Spence and his groomsmen wore beautiful grey suits and with elements of navy and black to coordinate with the bridesmaid’s navy dresses and black cardigans.
The bridesmaid bouquets included lithianthus, ranunculus, roses, spider mums, hypericum berries and ruscus.
Liz and Spence’s reception was held at the Ron Berg Event Space in downtown Kansas City. Delish planned and executed a wonderful plated dinner for all the wedding guests. We displayed the Menu on a vintage framed chalkboard and placed it next to a concrete table we used to display the escort cards.
Megan from Little Yellow Leaf did an amazing job creating all the paper goods for Liz and Spence’s wedding which included invitations, escort cards, table numbers and well wishes cards.
Throughout the reception space we hung hanging vases filled with various types of green and white flowers as well as some with votives to give the space a glowing feel.
We used a smaller version of the vintage menu chalkboard to ask guests to write their own well wishes and words of wisdom.
As the night grew on so did the dance floor and for Liz and Spence that was all they could have asked for!
Congrats to the both of you!
Both Jessica and I wish you only the best and loved helping to make your wedding day just how you had envisioned it.
